Our Sustainability Commitment.
At VX Fiber, we are continually focused to promote sustainability today and for the future, always upholding our commitment to responsible and high ethical standards.
We connect network owners with the operators who sell broadband to households and businesses. That makes us a small but concrete part of how communities get digitalized — schools, healthcare, businesses, and individuals all depend on that connectivity working.
01 - Environmental sustainability
We are dedicated to minimizing our environmental impact and promoting sustainability. Our initiatives include:
In addition to this we have set a target: carbon neutral by 2032. We measure emissions from our own operations, our networks, and the cloud services we use, and an environmental policy shapes how we think about purchasing, travel, vehicles, and supplier choices. Last year, for example, we bought used office furniture instead of new, which saved around 1,376 kg of CO2-equivalent — the same as driving a car round-trip from Stockholm to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.
CARBON FOOTPRINT
Implementing supply chain policies to ensure energy-efficient sourcing of technologies and renewable energy sources to lower greenhouse gas emissions.
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Using and sourcing resources responsibly by reducing waste including water waste, engage in recycling and promoting circular economy principles.
IMPACT MONITORING
Monitoring and Assessing the impacts of climate change such as the damage caused to our infrastructure by physical risk impacts.
Sustainability, for us, is about more than a target on paper. It's about delivering a platform that holds up over time, for us and for the people we serve. We're working on it step by step, a roadmap for emissions, an environmental policy for purchasing and choosing suppliers, and efforts that reach beyond our own operations, like our internet-safety lectures for seniors.

02 - Social responsibility
Connectivity isn't useful to anyone who doesn't feel safe or know how to use it.
That's why we've run, on a volunteer basis, lectures for seniors on how to stay safe online — and we're planning more.
Since 2018, we've also connected schools in South Africa with fiber and donated computers and other equipment — 329 schools so far, 7 more in 2024 alone.
We also share our expertise internationally by hosting delegations and speaking at industry conferences in Germany, Austria, and Sweden.

03 - Governance excellence
A cross-functional team drives our sustainability work and reports to leadership every quarter, so it doesn't become a side project that gets lost between meetings. We hold our suppliers and contractors to the same standards.
We also work with several network owners and operators at once, on a shared platform. That sets a higher bar for us than if we only answered to one customer — every party needs to be able to trust that we treat them fairly and keep our word.
