1990s
Swedish roots
Quadracom and Zitius operated open-access networks for Swedish municipalities.
2014
VX Fiber is founded
Founded in Sweden as VenturaNext, backed by family office Fort Knox Förvaring AB.
2014
South Africa with Vumatel
The platform grew to 250,000+ subscribers and over 70 ISPs within the decade.
2017
Into the UK
Gigabit FTTP across Mayfair and Belgravia with the Grosvenor Estate.
2018
Stoke-on-Trent
100,000 premises across ~60 miles of network, delivered as LilaConnect.
2020
Infrastructure capital
AMP Capital — later InfraBridge, now part of DigitalBridge — took a majority stake.
2021
The platform rebuild
VXBOSS and VX Mesh replaced the legacy platform and became the foundation for FiberOp.
2023
UK consolidation
UK operations merged with Freedom Fibre: a combined footprint of ~285,000 premises.

The SaaS pivot
FiberOp V2, the Open Access API, and VX Suite as the core commercial platform.
