As South Africa’s fiber market continues to mature, operators are increasingly focused on improving asset utilization, accelerating customer activation, reducing operational costs, and simplifying the management of increasingly complex wholesale ecosystems. VX Fiber’s cloud-native VX Suite platform addresses these challenges by providing a vendor-agnostic operational platform that automates service delivery, streamlines partner onboarding, and enables operators to scale efficiently across multiple networks and service providers.

Network lifecycle management aligns people, processes and platforms across every stage of a fiber network: plan, build, activate, assure, optimize and refresh. Done well, it shortens time to service, improves SLAs, lowers cost to serve, and creates a transparent, neutral foundation for multi-ISP growth.
Fiber network management aligns people, processes and platforms to activate services faster, keep SLAs, and reduce cost-to-serve across multiple providers. Below we cover why it matters for municipalities, ISPs and investors — and the practical steps to scale operations without vendor lock-in.
As demand for faster, more reliable digital infrastructure grows, municipalities, service providers and network operators are rethinking how broadband networks are built and managed. Following a summer lull, staff are returning to their desks en masse. On September 16th, traffic at 15 key tube stations in the City of London reached a post-covid peak. At the major banks, the desks are starting to fill up. By early September, attendance at Citigroup Inc.’s office hit more than half of its typical pre-pandemic level. The footfall at JPMorgan rose to 40%, up from about a quarter in August, while the occupancy at Goldman Sachs’s office was about half-half, and that proportion is on the rise.
As part of Total Telecom’s Connected Britain, VX Fiber hosted a special pre-event day on 20th September 2021, “Local Authorities: Delivering Digital Transformation.” Its aim was to further understand and support the challenges local governments are facing when it comes to the roll-out of next-generation digital infrastructure.
