VX Fiber Joins Digital Council Africa to Advance Fiber Operations

VX Fiber joins Digital Council Africa

VX Fiber joins Digital Council Africa to contribute its expertise and support a more connected and inclusive digital future.

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa 3, 2026 - VX Fiber announces it has joined Digital Council Africa (DCA), an independent, not-for-profit industry body that works alongside its members to bring together industry, policymakers, investors and partners to advance Africa's digital infrastructure and support a more connected, inclusive digital future.

”We are delighted to welcome VX Fiber as the newest member of the Digital Council Africa. Their expertise in fiber deployment strengthens our collective mission to accelerate digital infrastructure across the continent. Their focus on automation, cost reduction, and digital freedom, and the expertise they bring from their operations in both Europe and Africa, will bring meaningful value and efficiency to companies in the sector. We wish them well and look forward to VX Fiber's participation and contribution to the conversations and initiatives that continue to move our sector forward.” said Juanita Clark, CEO at Digital Council Africa.

As an active member of Digital Council Africa, VX Fiber will contribute operational expertise in open access networks, wholesale business models and multi-network operations. This supports the Council's work to bring the industry together, support its members and advance the digital infrastructure needed to close the digital divide and connect more people to the opportunities of the digital economy.

VX Fiber provides the software that fiber service providers and network owners need to launch, operate and scale their businesses. Through VX Suite, its cloud-native OSS/BSS platform, VX Fiber enables operators to manage subscriber lifecycle, wholesale and open access services, order orchestration, service activation, billing, partner management, service assurance and field operations from a single platform.

Combined with engineering, onboarding and managed operations services, VX Fiber helps operators reduce operational complexity, support multiple service providers, and integrate acquired or partner-owned networks. In South Africa, where operators face growing pressure to improve take-up rates, accelerate customer activation and manage increasingly complex wholesale ecosystems, this operational focus helps shorten the time between network deployment and revenue generation.

“South Africa has built one of the most dynamic fiber markets on the continent,” said Chris Butler, Head of South Africa, VX Fiber. “The next phase of growth will not come from laying more fiber. It will come from operators who run their networks with greater intelligence and efficiency. Membership in Digital Council Africa gives VX Fiber a direct seat alongside the operators, investors and policymakers shaping that next phase, and lets us bring more than a decade of operational experience in open access, wholesale and multi-network models to the table.”
